What People Have to Say...

I’ve stayed at some really outstanding Airbnb’s over the past few years—treehouses, converted school buses, light houses, tiny cabins in the woods, etc... This Airbnb experience was by far the best. Mary Beth was an incredible host and the Love Temple is so much more than just a place to stay. I was really unsure about it initially because $300/night is quite a bit above my typical budget, but this experience was worth every penny and probably much more. I will surely be coming back some day :) If you’re on the fence but curious, just book it. You won’t be sorry.

I just spent four nights at MaryBeth’s sacred love temple and could not be more grateful. MaryBeth made me feel like a queen throughout my stay, surprising me with the most delightful treats. Her nurturing spirit is felt throughout her gorgeous hillside temple that she has so lovingly offered to share with the world. I felt as though I had been swept away into a sacred Balinese retreat, complete with stunning crystals, fountains, and oils. I left feeling renewed and reinvigorated. I used my time at the retreat to work in a writing project and felt incredibly inspired and productive. I highly recommend MaryBeth’s love temple!

If you stumbled upon this posting for Love Temple, you are meant to be here! It is a magical place. 5-star hotels have nothing on this kind of experience. When something is built and cared for with this much love, it creates magic. MaryBeth is the sweetest, and has little surprises throughout the property you are staying on and in the temple that keeps your time in solitude so exciting. Also the cleanest AirBnB I have stayed at BY FAR. Take in the beautiful nature (beautiful view/star gazing, saw much wild life including a young deer), take baths, recharge. There are many many luxury amenities, good reads, and items to set the mood. I will be back for sure!

“This is a deeply nourishing place to stay. The experience of nature was exquisite: I watched bats and stars from the tub, enjoyed birds from the patio during the day, was greeted by a buck upon my arrival. MaryBeth poured love into the creation of this temple and all over me as a treasured guest in her personal space. She fed me a breakfast that was so good, I nearly cried. Every detail of the space is beautiful, and the place has a high energetic vibration. I needed a retreat and am so glad I decided to splurge on myself in this way. Just what I needed during these tumultuous times.”

It’s hard to find the words to describe what this Temple is. I spent the last 7 days there and I would spend another 7 with my eyes closed. If you decide to sleep in the loft, your morning first sight is going to be Mount Tam. This last morning when I opened my eyes tears streamed down my face because of all what this Temple has done for me in these days. You will take baths hearing the birds chirping, humminbirds will salute you every morning as you enjoy your breakfast and the beautiful views. The crows, the water fountains and wood cracking compose the most beautiful of the soundtracks. Mary Beth is going to take care of everything that you need and more. The Temple and it’s comfort will do the rest. Beds are clouds. You won’t feel cold. You won’t feel hot. This is a place to be met by every soul. Don’t think twice about it. You won’t regret it.

My husband discovered the Love Temple at a time when I was most in need of some special time to myself. A time to be still, focus on my own needs, to heal and to reflect. It was such a blessing as the space provided the most fertile environment to experience them all. MaryBeth was incredibly warm, welcoming and hospitable. I felt so cared for and every detail was taken into account. To the most delicious prepared food, fresh coconut milk for soothing tea, to a handmade salt scrub for an outdoor bath there was such care and love in every touch. The Temple is like a much needed hug as the space in intimate and wraps you from all sides. I was able to rest, take in nature's sounds and natural beauty, meditate, pray, journal, dance, read, eat slow and be extra mindful in the present. I can't think of a thing that was missing, it absolutely hit the spot. I left better than when I arrived in so many ways. I plan to return again. Thank you! xo

This property is exceptional, as is its owner, MaryBeth. Words cannot express enough my appreciation and gratitude for her and the temple's grace, welcoming and hospitality. If you are seeking a place to pause, heal, replenish, and reflect, look no further: you have found your refuge. The property itself is so beautiful, and the temple is truly a work of handcrafted art. If you haven't already, internet search it and find the backstory. The local pollinators (hummingbirds, bees and the like) visited the patio garden regularly throughout the day, and the insect maintenance team (bats), at dusk. While I was prepared to go for a hike through the beautiful neighborhood I instead was content spending my days on-property, doing online yoga in the temple, soaking in the outdoor bath tub, reading, eating and well... wash, rinse, repeat! The outdoor shower and tub provided a self-guided spa experience that, seriously, cannot be beat. While I fully encourage you root through your drawers and bring the various face masks, bath salts and body scrubs you've never gotten around to using, know too that MaryBeth has top shelf spa product for you to enjoy during your stay, so—and I emphasize this: feel equally free to *pack light*. The view of the stars from the open temple doorstep is simply magical. Definitely download a star gazing app on your smart phone when you come. The loft bed is super cozy, and the waking views breathtaking. The property was super clean and fully stocked. MaryBeth personally greeted me for check-in and the site walkthrough was, I am going to again use the word, exceptional! I made sure to do the dishes, bag the trash and bundle the dirty linens, and that was it: checkout was a breeze. LOVE Temple is a treasure. Be sure to soak in every moment.

This place is so much more than an air bnb, it is such a treat to anyone who is lucky enough to find it. From the moment I booked my trip, MaryBeth made the experience extra special by asking about my favorite breakfast drink so that I would have something nourishing each morning, she also kindly prepared nourishing and delicious food ( i had to ask for the recipes!) The place itself is such a magical gift, more than I could have imagined. Every inch and corner of the Love Temple, inside and out, was built with such thoughtful and sacred intention that you can feel, and the quality of craftsmanship of the temple and grounds are breath taking. As someone who was there on a solo journey to recalibrate and replenish myself, I was so grateful for all of the magical little touches like a variety of crystals, incense, and even oracle cards to meditate with, and the level of privacy I had on the two levels of the terrace that were all just for me to enjoy... not to mention the hot tub nestled amongst the trees and the bath tub where you could reset under the stars at night. MaryBeth even had home made salt scrub with essential oils for my stay. The magic of nature and the stars are so potently present in this little vortex. Most of my time there, I was enjoying my own private nature get away and just feeling pure gratitude and aww for finding this place. I stayed for 4 nights, and I absolutely felt the difference from when first arrived... I felt so nourished and inspired 💕🙏🏽💐🤗💫🌷🍄🍳🍓😋 If you are looking for a place to reconnect with your own rhythm and be nourished by nature and an awesome host, you've found your portal at the Love Temple <3

What can I say about this little piece of heaven that will do it justice??? It is medicine. It is healing. It isn't a place but an experience. Marybeth is a treasure. A little angel perched on the hill below silently and subtly holding space for your journey. This place is what you find when you take time for extreme, radical kindness and goodness to yourself and how you open up with love for yourself when you do that. It is the best money spent because it is in service to your inner soul. The temple itself- there are so many hidden gems inside that unravel and you discover them just like you are discovering hidden parts of yourself. I ate the amazing bountiful gorgeous food Marybeth graciously provided, read the many books on life, love and spirituality, took long baths in the outside tub and a moonlight soak in the hot tub, burned the beautiful, clarifying inscents, perched on the window ledge like a bird. It was beautiful. Everything is covered in softness, fur, raw hide, all the natural elements that draw you in. You will step into a world of your own. And instantly the first breath you take inside will be the deepest, most still breath you've had in some time. Open yourself to gratitude and come with a question that you are seeking an answer to. Come looking and seeking from every corner of the sanctuary, from every book, every tiny treasure Marybeth has left for you to discover inside, every piece of food you eat...and you will find yourself.

MaryBeth was truly an amazing host and the property far exceeded my expectations. The temple itself was a perfect mix of zen, lux, and relaxing. I cant even begin to describe how beautiful it was— You must see it for yourself! It truly was a wonderful and grounding experience. MaryBeth was an amazing host from the start. She immediately reached out after booking the property to see what my breakfast drink of choice was so I had something to drink in the morning. She was quick to communicate and make sure everything was perfect at all times. She even left a delicious home cooked meal in the mini fridge after a long day of travel to get there. She is such a warm, nurturing person and will make sure your experience is the best of the best. If you’re questioning whether to book this property, don’t. Just book it. I promise you will NOT regret it and will be planning your next trip back! :)

MaryBeth’s place is absolutely hands down one of my favorite places on this earth. The attention to detail and love she put into every corner of this home is obvious. The space is beyond sacred! I felt so incredibly blessed to rin in the New Year here. MaryBeth was gracious beyond gracious, stocking the home with my favorite tea, and making her space available an hour early, and just being incredibly warm, generous, welcoming and appreciative. It was an honor to have access to such a special space for three days. Anyone who has the good fortune to stay here is blessed.

The LOVE Temple was simply perfect. It’s a wonderful space to get in touch with your soul. This enchanted little spot is the ideal getaway if you are looking for a private, spiritual retreat. MaryBeth was an outstanding host. It’s evident how much thought she has put into making the temple a peaceful, sacred place from the moment you walk through the gate. I would highly recommend the LOVE Temple if you need to escape the treadmill of life. It’s walls will surround you in the most loving, warm embrace. I promise you will leave with whatever it is you came there to find.

The LOVE Temple embraced me wholeheartedly!! I didn’t expect to find, rediscover, parts of me that had been buried for quite some time. I connected with my mind and body and at times my soul ... this place is a true spiritual retreat.

The LOVE Temple is an experience of exquisite surroundings. Every detail truly has been picked with love, care and attention by MaryBeth! You feel like you have walked into a fairy tale. I’m so rested and inspired by both the Temple and MaryBeth herself. You feel like a goddess here, even if you didn’t before! The trickling waters, the crows and Venus all add to the sensual mystique of it all. The outdoor bath and shower! What a place ... pure art!

No words can adequately describe the way I feel when I am in this temple, but if I must use language, then LOVE is the best word. Infinite Love I call God, and God is powerfully present here. Whatever draws one to this place can be found: rest, peace, healing, focus, beauty, regeneration. And what undoubtedly must be felt by all who enter this door is the love MaryBeth poured in to every detail. Unforgettable!

I just spent my first night at LOVE Temple, and I absolutely loved it! I had a shower at dusk and then relaxed and took in the beautiful flower, fountain and hillside. I dropped into the tranquil trance of the Temple. I felt completely content, safe and serene being tucked away from the world for a time experiencing my own tiny retreat. MaryBeth lovingly provided all that I might need for my visit and I thoroughly enjoyed every second here.
P.S. The morning view of Mount Tam is amazing!
